Job Description:

The duration of the internship program will be 1 year.

In this role, you will work with cross functional teams ranging from PON, Ethernet switching and routing software, subscriber management for Triple Play services, performance monitoring to network management to build, integrate, unit test and support software modules within a large-scale system.

In this role, you will work with cross functional teams ranging from PON, Ethernet switching, Security, Firewall, routing software, subscriber management for Triple Play services, performance monitoring to network management to build, integrate, unit test and support software modules within a large-scale system.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in technical discussions within engineering group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team.
• Design, develop, and maintain Network Systems Software and Security software for high-performance and low-latency environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement networking protocols (L2, L3, MPLS, NAT, tunnelling – VPN, IPSec, GRE etc) and features.
• Familiar in programming in a multi-thread/multi-process environment is necessary.
• Participate and support in fixing issues arising from customer sites.
• Create the required accompanying technical documentation like Design Spec, FS, UT and FT.

Qualifications:

• Familiar with Linux, x86 virtualization and Inter-process communication is necessary.
• Familiar with programming languages like C/C++ and scripting language like Python is necessary.
• Strong understanding of Protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, VLAN’s, NTP, xSTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT is necessary.
• Understanding Unit Testing and automation principals.
• Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with source control applications such as GIT.
• Strong communication skills and excellent telephone presence.
• Bachelors or Master’s in computer science / information technology/ Electronics & communication / Electrical & Electronics graduating in year 2026 will be preferred.

• India – (Flexible hybrid work model – work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
